This existing concrete block warehouse building was renovated to provide a new art framing and gallery business for Deven 7 Studios.  The rear portion of the building was renovated to provide a studio apartment residence for the company owner.  Foxworth Architecture not only provided design and documentation services but was able to help the owner navigate building code and planning issues to create this live/work environment.  The residence is conceived as a cubic core inserted into the open living space.  All functions of bathing, cooking, and laundry as well as utilities are housed in this cube form.  Privacy to the sleeping area is proved my a rolling wardrobe unit of painted lumber and frosted acrylic with internal lights allowing it to glow as a large light box.
